SEAN INGGS, B.A., LLB, Acc.Dir, Attorney (South Africa), (Fund Fiduciary), is a resident of the Cayman Islands and is a qualified attorney. Sean is a Professional Director in the Cayman Islands registered pursuant to the Directors Registration and Licensing Law 2014, is a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association and serves as a director on the boards of hedge funds, private equity and venture capital funds as well as other investment companies. Sean has 13 years of experience in the finance industry spread across Cayman, Jersey (Channel Islands) and South Africa. Prior to joining IMS Sean was a Senior Manager at Aztec Financial Services (one of the leading offshore fund administration providers) where Sean administered a complex and varied portfolio of fund structures. Prior to that Sean spent nine years in legal practice with top tier onshore and offshore law firms in South Africa and Jersey. Sean has advised on a range of fund, corporate, IPO, JV and financing matters. Sean has had significant exposure to corporate governance issues and has advised high net worth, institutional and corporate clients on governance issues and has advised directors in their personal capacities. Sean also has experience in distressed funds and workout situations and can assist clients in acting in a crisis situation or in restructuring a fund where unexpected events have occurred leading to litigation, investor disputes or replacing incumbent independent directors. Sean commenced legal practice in 2005 in the Johannesburg office of Fasken Martineau (Bell Dewar).
