New Private and Limited Investor Funds - Registration Deadline Approaching

The deadline of 7 August 2020 for the newly introduced Private and Limited Investor Funds to register with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (“CIMA”) is fast approaching. These funds should be working closely with their legal counsel to analyse the new Cayman requirements and attend to any required filings in a timely manner.

Did you know? CIMA issued additional frequently asked questions (“FAQs”) relating to the registration process and ongoing requirements for Private and Limited Investor Funds.

A full list of the FAQs can be found in the following link under the sub-heading ‘Private Funds Law 2020’ and ‘Mutual Funds (Amendments) Law 2020’: https://www.cima.ky/investment-funds-faqs.
