Matt Lawson

Matt is a resident of the Cayman Islands, a Canadian Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant and as well as a US Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). Matt has over 25 years of corporate finance experience that has been focused on leading finance teams of both private and publicly traded companies through M&A activity and corporate restructuring. Prior to joining IMS in 2026, Matt was the Director of Finance at FFP (Cayman) Limited where he oversaw all aspects of the company's financial accounting and reporting activities from 2020 to 2025. From 2014 to 2019, Matt was SVP and the Chief Accounting Officer at Advantage Insurance Inc. Prior to Advantage Insurance Ltd., Matt was VP and the Group Controller of Endeavour Mining Corporation from 2007 to 2014. Earlier in his career, Matt was an audit manager with Ernst & Young Ltd., in Bermuda in their financial services practice focused on insurance and reinsurance clients. He also worked for a subsidiary of Renaissance Re Holdings Ltd., as a senior investment accountant.
