Michael McDonald

Mike is an owner and managing director of IMS and is a resident of the Cayman Islands, a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant and holds the Accredited Director designation granted by the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada. Mike has served on the boards of investment funds and related structures for over 18 years and is a Professional Director in the Cayman Islands registered pursuant to the Directors Registration and Licensing Act (Revised) of the Cayman Islands. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the offshore funds industry in the Cayman Islands. Prior to joining IMS in 2011, Mike worked for Genesis Trust & Corporate Services Ltd (now Highvern, and previously affiliated with KPMG) from 2007 to 2011 as a Fund Director where he specialized in the provision of director, trust, private wealth and corporate management services to companies, trusts, and related entities worldwide. Prior to Genesis Trust, Mike was a Senior Manager at Fortis Prime Fund Solutions (Cayman) Limited from 2004 to 2007 where he led a team of fund accountants and was responsible for the calculation and review of net asset valuations. Mike started his career with KPMG (Lethbridge, Alberta) in 2001 and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is also a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association.
