We are very pleased to have David Acutt join the board of directors of the IMS group of companies and our team of fund directors, providing independent governance services to our valued client base.
David has worked with IMS for 5 years, managing our finance and IT operations and is a member of the IMS group of companies board of directors. David has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. He is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) who began his career at Deloitte South Africa. David spent terms around the globe with Deloitte, including joining Deloitte Audit in Prague followed by a consulting role in the Global IFRS & Offering Services Group in Toronto, primarily focused on technical accounting complexities of mergers and acquisitions. David moved to the Cayman Islands to join the mutual fund audit team at Deloitte (Cayman), after which he served as a Vice President at The Maples Group. David is passionate about sport, to support this he serves as the treasurer of the Cayman Junior Rugby Charitable Trust.
Our team of fund directors are excited that David will be serving with them on the boards of a variety of investment funds and associated entities. David’s breadth of knowledge and experience in the above fields and as an experienced investor himself, will add significant value to the clients he will work with and we are confident that he will be a valued member of the boards of the entities on which he serves.
